Overview

Swinkit is a mobile-first golf platform that brings game scheduling, caddie booking, live scoring and a verified marketplace for golf gear into one trusted product. Swing better. Play more.

The problem

Golfers were juggling several apps and informal channels to play one round: WhatsApp to organise, phone calls to find a caddie, Facebook groups to buy gear, and mobile money to settle up. The result was logistics headaches, uncertainty and risk, especially around counterfeit equipment.

The research

Eight in-depth, semi-structured interviews with golfers of different skill levels and clubs, focused on how they schedule games, hire caddies and buy equipment.

A review of leading golf apps showed strong scoring and analytics, but three gaps none of them closed.

  • Local payments: mobile money was missing from major competitors
  • An integrated, trusted marketplace for peer-to-peer gear sales
  • An end-to-end flow that keeps players inside one product

The product

Four core journeys shape the app: plan a game, book a caddie, buy gear and sell gear. Hybrid payments cover wagers, gear and event fees, and a curated marketplace with verified sellers answers the market's biggest fear.

The brand

A golfer in full swing, drawn as a single sweeping S. Lime and green from the course, a deep green base, and Inter for a clean, readable interface. The tagline does the rest: swing better, play more.

From prototype to web app

The design was taken into a responsive, mobile-first web app with a live demo: an active virtual match, upcoming games, community activity and challenges, all from the home screen.
